I am very pleased to announce the launch of a new project to help link up Australian Liberals on Twitter! This grassroots project, independent of the Liberal Party, is based on a model first pioneered by Top Conservatives On Twitter, and will be a great step forward for all Liberal Party supporters.
The concept is simple. Firstly, create a unified website where all Liberals can list their twitter account. Then, Liberal supporters will be able to find like-minded people to follow. Secondly, use the hashtag #alot to tag all tweets which you think would interest fellow Liberals. Then, if someone wants to read about what Liberals are talking about, they’ll just search for #alot – and we’ll get even more followers! Just have a look at the success of Top Conservatives On Twitter to see how powerful this can be!
Please find below a very, very rudimentary list of Liberal Party Members & Associated bodies I know on twitter. This was purely taken from people I personally follow, although for privacy reasons I did NOT list anyone who had their status as protected. If you with to be removed from this list, please email me at contact@rebuildthelibs.com.
Please note – this is no-where near the final version for ALOT. In time, I hope to create an proper website with a more sophisticated RSS feed, link Twitter ID’s to follower counts ranking them in terms of popularity, and add further information on each person. But for now, this will have to do.
